Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup (310 ml) whole wheat flour (or other)
- 1 ¼ cup (310 ml) milk
- 17
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1 tbsp + 2 tsp (25 ml) sugar
- Canola oil
- Toppings:
- Maple syrup, yogurt or peanut butter
- Berries, banana, apple or other stewed fruit, fresh or frozen
Preparation
1- Mix the flour and salt together.
2- Make a hole in the middle and add the egg and some milk.
3- Whisk briefly until smooth, gradually adding the
leftover milk.
4- In a skillet, coat the surface with about 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of canola oil and heat.
over medium-high heat.
5- Using a ladle, pour about 2 tbsp (30 ml) of the mixture into the pan and cook.
about 1-2 min until the bottom of the pancake is golden-brown; turn over and cook 30-45 seconds.
6- Add the toppings to taste and enjoy!
For a more varied recipe, replace the whole-wheat flour by oat flakes! The taste will be otherwise delicious!
